David C. Wei, MD, FACS
Dr. David Wei is a fellowship-trained urologic cancer surgeon who strongly believes working closely with colleagues in medical oncology, radiology, radiation therapy, and pathology can deliver the most effective treatment in a multidisciplinary manner.
His clinical interests include early detection, diagnosis and treatment of urologic cancers as well as utilizing the state-of-art technology in managing malignant diseases. He has expertise in laparoscopic treatment of the kidney, adrenal, bladder and prostate cancers since 2004 and has been performing robotic prostatectomy and partial nephrectomy since 2007, after the da Vinci robot became available in Hawaii.
As each patient has different wishes, expectations and desired treatment outcomes, Dr. Wei tailors the treatment to each patient’s individual needs within the confines of the established guidelines.
His office staff is fluent in Ilocano, Cantonese and Mandarin Chinese; he himself is conversant in Mandarin Chinese and Taiwanese.
